View Beach Hut of the Year Entries

We chose to paint the beach hut in the style of Clarice Cliff, an art deco potter who is part of the fabric of Frinton, as is the period she represents. The paint was left over from decorating our house, but the colours match her palate. Our (then) 18 year-old daughter did the painting and created her own design in Cliff's style. We would have painted the outside too, but unfortunately this would just have drawn attention to our hut and since it has been vandalised twice we are a touch nervous about making too much of it. we love it and it always attracts comments from passers-by. it seems to make people smile.
