The categories for 2011 are:
- Best Presented Hut
If you’re proud of your beach hut, now’s your chance to show it off! Whether it’s traditional, trendy, or just plain gorgeous send us a pic and tell us about it. The judges are looking for evidence of civic pride in your hut and the surrounding area, and this category is open to both privately owned and council huts. - Best Beach Hut Association
This is your chance to tell us why your local association is outstanding. Perhaps it offers help and advice, or organises social events? Let us know and give them the credit they deserve. Plus, if there’s no beach hut association in your area, TL Risk Solutions offers help and advice in setting one up (membership of an association can even save you money on your beach hut insurance!) Give them a call on 0113 224 5361 to find out more. - Best Beach Hut Story
What’s in a name? Does your hut have a hidden history that needs to be told? This is the category to enter if you want to share the history of your hut and why it’s called what it is. - Best Beach Hut Neighbour
Do you know someone who bends over backwards to help you and your fellow hut owners, or simply shares a cuppa and a friendly chat with you down at the hut? Introduce them to us and tell us why they deserve the award! Note that your beach hut neighbour nominee doesn’t have to be a hut owner themselves, just someone who give something back to your beach hut community. - Best Beach Hut Photograph
You don’t even need to own a hut to enter this category: you just need to have taken an impressive beach hut picture! Let the nation share in your artistic skills by sending us your photographs. This category is open to amateur photographers only and remember you’ll need to get the hut owner’s permission, with their contact details, in order to enter.
